Where they typically live: While Dwarves are commonly found in the mountainous areas like the Dulann Confederacy and in the Shadowscape, they have spread in fewer numbers across almost every other part of the realm
Rarity: Commonplace
Description: Dwarves are hearty and diligent with an affinity for stonework and metallurgy given their time spent in the mountains.

Gnomes

Origin/Ancestry: Created by Solarin during the creation of Caelthys
Where they typically live: Found throughout the realm, often integrated into human and Dwarven societies or in their own industrious townships
Rarity: Commonplace

Where they typically live: Mostly found in isolated, secretive enclaves far from major civilizations
Rarity: Rare

Orcs

Origin/Ancestry: Created by Solarin during the creation of Caelthys
Where they typically live: Integrated into large cities or living in rural, self-sufficient enclaves
Rarity: Commonplace

Dragonborn

Origin/Ancestry: Created by Solarin during the creation of Caelthys
Where they typically live: Often found in high-altitude citadels, coastal dragon-ports, or large cities
Rarity: Uncommon
Description: Carrying the majestic breath of Solarin’s more primal powers, Dragonborn are a proud race defined by honor and duty. While they share the "Commonplace" world with humans, their low birth rates keep their numbers modest compared to other Overworld races

Fey

Elves

Origin/Ancestry: Created by Lunira within the Feylands
Where they typically live: Forested regions near Luniran Gates or integrated into cosmopolitan overworld cities
Rarity: Uncommon
Description: Originally intended as caretakers and storytellers of Lunira’s dream-realms, many Elves transitioned to Caelthys. They retain a graceful, inquisitive nature and a lingering connection to the "dream-logic" of their origins

Animalfolk

Origin/Ancestry: Created by Lunira within the Feylands
Where they typically live: Untouched wilds, sacred groves, or vibrant festival-towns. Some have also assimilated into large overworld cities.
Rarity: Uncommon

Examples: Satyrs, Harrengon, Aarakocra, Centaurs, Kenku, Tabaxi, Tortle, Loxodons, Minotaurs

Genasi

Origin/Ancestry: Created by Lunira in the Feylands
Where they typically live: Primarily live within the Feylands or in "Seams"
Rarity: Rare.

Shadow-Touched

Drow (Dark Elves)

Origin/Ancestry: Descended from the elves as they lived in the Shadowscape over the generations.
Where they typically live: Subterranean reaches of the Shadowscape
Rarity: Rare in the overworld, more common in the Shadowscape
Description: While originally born of Lunira’s whimsy, the Drow are often associated with the more somber or dangerous aspects of the Shadowscape. Drow have evolved in the darkness and now reside in the shadows where they have an innate power drawn from the darkness. They are noticeably weaker when exposed to the sunlight for extended periods of time.

Duergar

Origin/Ancestry: Descended from Dwarves as they lived and evolved to suit the Shadowscape
Where they typically live: Deep caverns and cities of the Shadowscape
Rarity: Common in the Shadowscape, rare in the overworld
Description: Much like the Drow, Duergar have been warped by the Shadowscape. They are stoic and grim, having traded the warmth of the forge for the cold power of the deep earth. They possess psionic-like abilities to enlarge or vanish in the dark but suffer under the harsh glare of the sun.

Deep Gnome

Origin/Ancestry: Gnomes who migrated to the Shadowscape to study its unique minerals and ended up evolving alongside its darkness.
Where they typically live: Cities and caverns in the Shadowscape
Rarity: Common in the Shadowscape, rare in the Overworld
Description: While their Overworld cousins are vibrant and loud, Deep Gnomes are muted and cautious. They have skin like smoothed stone and eyes that see through the thickest gloom. They are the premier survivalists of the Shadow-Touched races.

Celestial

Aasimar

Origin/Ancestry: Aasimar are beings that carry a spark of the Celestial plane in them, typically by being a descendant of a celestial being. Where they typically live: Aasimar can be found anywhere but are very uncommon
Rarity: Extremely rare
Description: Aasimar are not a "breeding race" in the traditional sense, but a celestial phenomenon. They are often viewed as omens—either of great protection or of impending judgment. They possess a natural radiance that can manifest as wings or halos of light.

Tieflings
